Angels

Angels are pure spirit beings who have never been humans.
The word ‘angel’ comes from the Latin ‘angelus’ = ‘messenger of God’. St Augustine says, “‘Angel’ is the name of their office, not of their nature. If you seek the name of their nature, it is ‘spirit’.” Thus, it is what they do, not who they are.
Archangels are higher orders ‘chief messengers of God.’
There are also nine ‘choirs’ or ‘ranks’ of angels, each with a specific name, such as Gabriel, Michael, Raphael, or Uriel. They all end in ‘el’.
Archangel Raphael is the angel of healing. He has compassion for people with physical, mental, emotional and spiritual challenges.
There are also angels for whole species, like an angel for dogs, one for cats, another for eagles and another for horses. People in deliberate trance states can meet these spirits who may guide them and provide helpful ideas.
The easiest way to engage with them is to ask for help. If the atmosphere becomes beautifully calm, loving, and peaceful, it is a sign that an angel is near.
