Dowsing

Dowsing is used in two ways: to find things and to find things out.

There are three main dowsing tools: a ‘Y’ shaped dowsing rod, two ‘L’ shaped metal wires, usually copper and a pendulum: something of weight at the end of a chain or string. A washer on the end of a piece of cotton is just as good as a beautiful crystal on the end of a silver chain.

The most common thing to find is water. Water companies use dowsers to find water, but avoid mentioning it in public. It is also possible to detect broken pipes underground and where to drill boreholes.

Finding things out occurs by silently asking question with a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ answer, knowing what the response is for a ‘yes’ and a ’no’ and narrowing things down with a sequence of questions. A pendulum is an easy was to start and there are many sources of advice on the web.

Dowsing can detect leylines, geopathic stress and so avoid potentially life-treating illnesses: Are you sleeping in a safe place?
