Leaps of Consciousness

The Gateway Process

The Monroe Institute runs the Gateway Voyage course. It teaches how to ‘ navigate the non-physical realm.’ A friend’s done it. In one exercise, her consciousness ‘farted’ out the top of her head, and she decided to do an experiment she could verify later.

Her awareness went into the kitchen where she saw the draining board and sink.

‘I’ll count the green mugs and check them up afterwards.’

‘1, 2, 3..’ then ‘whoosh’ and ’14’ popped into her head.

‘Whoa! That was way too fast.’ So she started again. The same thing happened again: 1, 2, 3 .. zap 14.’ She was being thought at lightning spee and she got the feeling her lack of trust was annoying her guide.

At the next break, she went downstairs into the kitchen and everything was exactly as she had seen it earlier.

Below is a link to the Monroe Institute’s Gateway course, as well as a CIA Document dated 9 June 1983, ‘Analysis and Assessment of the Gateway Process’ which was released under a FOI in 2003. This 28-page document describes the scientific undertsanding of how a consciousness can leave the body at will.
