What is a mystery school?

A mystery school teaches wisdom, enlightenment, ancient philosophies and esoteric teachings. One of the most famous was the temple at Delphi, the location of the famous oracle.

What are esoteric teachings? ‘Esoteric’ means hidden or only intended for those with special knowledge.

Why would you attend a mystery school?

The goal is to acquire knowledge of universal wisdom. This enables the student to answer the questions, “Who am I, and why am I here?”

The teacher plants seeds of knowledge in the student’s mind. The student cultivates the knowledge so the seeds bear fruit.

As the student begins the process of knowing (gnosis) and awakening, each step leads to a further knowing of who you are towards a rebirth of the soul, which changes him/her on all levels.

The journey is like the metamorphosis of a butterfly. It starts as an egg, transforms into a caterpillar, and then pupates before emerging as a beautiful butterfly. Similarly, esoteric teachings absorb you rather than you absorb the teachings. To continue the gardening metaphor, you don’t control the garden; you become the garden.

It is the soul’s journey. To discover the inner temple of the heart, mind and soul which connects to the higher self on the spiritual planes.
