he largest examples is La Via Campesina or International Peasant Farmer’s Union. In th UK it is the Landworkers’ Alliance and in the US it includes the Rural Coalition. It has by far the largest number of members with over 200 million in 81 countries.

LVC has 3 aims: defending food sovereignty, promoting agroecology and the right to save local seeds, and promoting peasants’ rights and access to land. They are also a political organisation and are campaigning against patriarchy - to end violence against women.
