Inversion

Kingsley Dennis's book The Inversion examines how deepening materialism may be preventing our spiritual growth.
The current reality model is acting in a ‘reverse mode’ by blocking the perception of the role and destiny of humankind. i.e. the Greater Potential has been converted into a ‘lesser potential’ whereby the spiritual life-experience is limited to a physical-materialist one.
This physical-materialist view hides our essential spiritual nature but also seeks to block transcending the physical realm into higher dimensions. Reality has been inverted, so ‘mad’ becomes ’normal’.
Following the Austrian philosopher and mystic Rudolf Steiner, the book looks at how the machinic impulse blocks humanity’s evolutionary path. These adversaries are called ‘Ahrimanic forces’ by Steiner.
The author sees Extended Reality (XR), like the virtual-digital realms of the Metaverse, as hyper-materialism; where a less solid realm represents a deeper material level and is thus more dangerous for humanity.
This de-solidification of matter and the loss of the body through increasing digitisation seeks to further disconnect the individual from the transcendental impulse (or Source consciousness).
The rise of a machinic consciousness among modern people and advancing AI and automation risks losing human authenticity. The electrification of the world may seek to terraform the Earth into an environment more amenable to the Ahrimanic forces that seek to dominate and control humans.
Finally, The Inversion examines how we – in mind, body, and soul – can become more aware of the adversarial forces, connect to our spirituality and fulfil our destiny.
