Leaps of Consciousness

The Harry Edwards Healing Sanctuary

In 1936, Harry Edwards (1893 - 1976) attended an ‘open circle’ which opened his mind to spiritual healing.

Other mediums convinced him he was a healer, and he was asked to help someone dying from tuberculosis, who subsequently recovered. His next patient had terminal cancer and soon became well enough to return to work.

Many followed, and his reputation and media interest soared.

He used his hands to heal. We are energy beings of light and love, and the energy flows through us from the divine into the client. The energy knows where to go to be of greatest service. I have done the training course, and it’s a beautiful healing modality

By 1946, after the war ended, healing was the most significant part of his life, even though he owned a printing business. His brother then ran it so Harry could devote himself full-time to healing.

With the support of one of his sisters, and her husband they bought Burrows Lea, a large house on 11 acres near Shere in Surrey.

His fame spread, and at its peak, he received over 10,000 letters a week. Many typists were employed to respond to the letters requesting distant healing.

He toured the country demonstrating the effectiveness of his healing method, and in 1948, 6,000 people attended his demonstration in Manchester. His most famous appearance was in 1951 in a packed Royal Festival Hall.

Today, the Harry Edwards Healing Sanctuary continues his work at Burrows Lea.
