Would a matriarchy be more peaceful, inclusive and less competitive? The Dalai Lama has said, ‘If women ran the world they’d be no wars.’ There are some matriarchal societies, like the Mosuo in China near Tibet and the Minangkbau of West Sumatra, Indonesia but they are a tiny percentage of the total.
The Bible says God is the ‘Heavenly Father’ but where is Mother Earth and the divine feminine?
There is now overwhelming evidence that the Divine Feminine has been excluded from the bible, apart from the Books of Prophecy, the Book of Ben Sirach and the Book of Wisdom of Solomon.
Two spectacular finds; The Nag Hammadi Scripts (found in 1945) contain documents from the time of Christ, and The Dead Sea Scrolls (found in 1947) contain documents from the third century. Both provide a treasure trove of ancient biblical documents never seen before. They had been buried to save them from destruction by adversarial forces.
Jehanne de Quillan’s publication of The Gospel of the Beloved Companion in 2010 was another revelatory event. This is the most profoundly true book I have ever read. The Cathars of South-west France kept the text secret for over 1,200 years.
