Leaps of Consciousness

Oneness

All is One. There is no separation.

It’s amusing that quantum physics shows that matter doesn’t exist. In Quantum Revelation, Paul Levy points out that matter is illusory. Only the quantum realm, where all possible states exist, is real. There’s a reassuring adage that ‘if you think you understand quantum physics, you don’t, because nobody does.’

Two quantum examples show why matter does not exist:

  • * ‘Matter’ needs boundaries, and there aren't any. Netwonian 'billiard ball' mechanics do not exist at the microscopic quantum level. At the quantum scale, an atom is 99.9999999% empty space, so there’s no boundary separating 'things' - only a variation in the energy field. The ‘feeling’ of solidity is electromagnetic repulsion.
  • * ‘Matter’ or atoms flip in and out of existence so fast it seems they are solid - like in a high speed movie - but they aren’t. Furthermore, when an atom flips out of existence and back again, it’s not the same atom.
  • Mainstream science is stuck in a materialist denial about things it can’t see or measure.

Quantum Physics shows it is impossible to separate the subject and object or observer and what is observed because there is a continuous feedback loop; the observer (consciousness) affects what is being observed, just as what is observed affects the observer - as shown in later versions of Young’s double slit experiment.

How each affects the other is how dreams work: the observer (subject) dreams the dream (object), and the dream reflects the dream instantly reflects back to us so we can experience it.

This is similar to the Three Principles definition of Consciousness: 'the ability to have an experience (to dream) and to be aware of the experience (the dream).'
