Worldview

Our worldview is our personal philosophy: how we think the world works and our place in it.
Our ego resists any change to our worldview. It perceives a threat to our safety. It is very fast at justifying why we are ‘right’ and they are ‘wrong’.
We rarely change our minds about things and often resist even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary.
This shows the male left-brain in control. It is judgemental, sees things as ‘either/or’ and uses exclusion and separation. When locked in the fight/flight mode by stress, it is unable to access the intuitive, female right-brain at all.
The female right-brain is an inclusive, big-picture thinker, and can hold different possibilities at the same time. It uses critical thinking to investigate new information and decide if our worldview needs changing. This can take time.
